How To Magickally Close Out The Summer (or ANY!) Season or Cycle

Today is the last day of Summer. Summer 2024 has been one of the biggest and most transformational seasons since i said yes to doing drag back in Summer 2011--and one of the top 3 major seasons of my entire life. It's a season with so many details, nuances, and shifts that i always want to remember. Whether you had a season to remember or one that tested and tried you, there is medicine in both extremes and all the spaces between. Today i want to share 3 of my favorite journal prompts to help you capture the essence of the season, remember your shifts + big and small wins, and close out any seasonal or cycle before you begin a new one. These 3 questions are part of my seasonal closing out ritual. The piece that ties and tethers all this energy together is drawing what i call my "Seasonal Medicine Card." i pull a Seasonal Medicine Card at the start and closing of each season with each inquiry slightly different. For my closing Seasonal Medicine Card, my inquiry is as follows: What card represents the Summer Medicine i need to carry forward in Autumn and beyond? This card becomes one (of many) guiding energies for the next cycle and a reminder of all the successes, wins, trials, and tribulations i've already been through. My Seasonal Medicine Card also reminds me that everything is cyclical and everything flows into all else. Both these ritual praxises, when stacked upon each other, become the outline of your story and proof of what you've already done and can do. In my opinion and experience, there is no greater gift you can give yourself than that. Enjoy the last day of Summer and i'll meet you in the Season of the Witch 😉🧙🏽♀️ i love you.
