Y'all i did something this past weekend that i have to share with you . . .

Any of y'all know a coach by the name of Tony Robbins? 👀

Well, this past weekend i did my first weekend-long program with him virtually, Unleash the Power Within.

i have a lot of feelings and things to say about it (and i will in an upcoming Substack series), but my biggest takeaway from the 4-day, roughly 12 hours a day event is something that i've been saying to myself and you for decades:

WE HAVE MORE POWER THAN WE KNOW.

YOU have more power than you know. And sometimes we need to do something to remind ourselves of just how much--AND WHY IT'S SO IMPORTANT.

In full honesty and transparency, September and October have been heavy months.

This time last year (Oct. 13), i was 4 days away from learning my uterus had cancer. Life moved so, so fast between getting the phone call and waking up post-total hysterectomy surgery on November 5th.

i was supposed to attend UPW that first weekend in November 2024, but life (and my body) had other plans. So i contacted support, and they changed my ticket to this past weekend. At the time, i was totally bummed, sad, and depressed that i had to put, not just UPW, but all of my life on hold (i was also scheduled to sign at the Texas Book Festival the following week) to recover.

Midway through the weekend, i understood the benefits of waiting a year to attend. . . because as much as i thought i needed it in 2024, i REALLY needed a jolt to my system and soul NOW.

Because i'm going through things i've never ever gone through before.

This is my first 1st year learning that my body had cancer.

This is my first anniversary of that.

This is the first time i realized, understood, and went through the SO MANY emotions surrounding it.

This is the first time i couldn't get out of my funk and melancholy myself.

This is the first time in my life i didn't feel like me.

And being around others who were also going through something and looking to transform and change it was the medicine i needed.

And now, i'd like to pay it forward and gift that medicine to you.

Only, instead of 4 days, it will be 60 to 90 minutes.

Instead of being a bunch of tools, it will be the one i've always used and return to, journaling.

Instead of it being hundreds of dollars, it will be $1.
